Hey there, everyone. I’m back for day 136 of the Daily Blogging Challenge.
“Describe your favorite band/artist. What makes them so great?”
Obviously, my favorite band (also known as a “boy band”) is New Kids On The Block. They’ve been my favorite group since 1989, and yes, they're still together. They reunited back in 2008 and are still going strong. But if I had a nickel for every time I was asked on here if they were still together, I'd already have enough for front row seats. ;) (I'm just teasing you guys lol.)
I love their songs, dance moves, music videos; the way they put on an amazing show, and how kind they are to others (including their fans). On top of that, between their live streams and virtual cruise (since their annual cruise was canceled), they’ve been such a light this year. They even recorded and edited together a new song and music video this year, safely from their own homes, and donated the proceeds for their music and merchandise from their “House Party” song to a charity known as “No Kid Hungry.”
Are they perfect? Nooo, nobody is perfect. They make their fair share of mistakes and have bad days just like the rest of us. But they do try to be good people and I love them for it.

That really is a great picture. When I ever tried to take photos at a concert they always came out rubbish!
I had a favourite band who were a Christian band called Delirious? (The question mark is not a typo, it's meant to be there). They've split up now but they were really good. If you want to know what type of music they played I've heard it described as reminiscent of the Stereophonics, although I've not heard any of their music. I used to go to a lot of their concerts (Delirious? not the Stereophonics). There was a concert we went to in Wolverhampton (UK) and it was pouring down with rain and we saw Martin Smith, the lead singer and Jon Thatcher, the bass guitatust, jogging towards us with just their T-Shirt and shorts on, I held out my hand like you do when you're testing to see if it's raining, and I said, what is wrong with you? It's pouring down with rain! They just laughed and jogged past us! I could tell you loads of stories of the concerts we went to, to see Delirious?
Nowadays I'm into classical music because of Andre Rieu, the violinist and conductor, so these days I'm not really into a band, rather Andre and his Johann Strauss orchestra. Andre Rieu must be one of the nicest guys on the planet. His orchestra are not just people who work for him, they're his second family. Andre is kind and generous, and he said himself that if he says he's going to do something he will keep to his word. So, as well as the great music, that is why I like Andre Rieu.

Thank you! I thought for sure it was going to come out back, as my seats were further back than I had expected. I was pleasantly surprised when some came out decent.
I hope one day Delirious? will reunite for you. You never know. It took NKOTB 15yrs or so, but they finally reunited back in 2008. You can share the stories whenever you want, especially if they make you happy!
Oooh, so you met Andre Rieu? That's awesome.
I'm hoping one day I'll meet NKOTB, but that's not going to happen anytime soon, not with a pandemic going on.

@tammys85 No, I haven't met Andre Rieu. That is something that I would really like to do. He said about keeping his word in an interview I saw on YouTube. I've seen mini documentaries where we've seen his generosity and things like that, that show what a nice guy he is.

@tammys85 There was another story about Delirious? that happened on the same day as previously mentioned. It was after we'd seen Martin and Jon jogging past us. We were standing across the road from where the tour bus was, and it was still raining. (The tour bus had darkened windows where you can see out but you can't see in). Delirious? had a song called "Find me in the river", and water was running down the gutter so I stepped off the pavement into the flow of water in the gutter and started singing Find me in the river. Then there was another song of theirs called "Rain Down" so I started singing that one aswell! After a few moments the door to the tour bus opened and one by one the members of Delirious? got out, waved, and headed for the stage door. Last one out was Martin who did the same. (At this point I called out "I love you Martin!") They had obviously been watching everything I'd been doing from behind their darkened windows without me knowing it! Slightly embarrassing but also rather funny!

Great photo Tammy! I'm still a die hard NKOTB fan and will always love Joey.
