The second pattern is just starting

The picture above presents the start up of the second pattern of my cross-stitch/embroidery top quilt. It is a large red and eventually also pink flower. Again I do not know at all what type of flower it is. I will slowly finish it up and then all of you can guess what this flower is.

for how long have you been working on this? I tried cross-stitching but i gave up.

I started it about 4 months ago with the first panel of 6 all done. This is the second panel of a total of 4 panels. Still a long way to go. BTW there are a total of only three patterns repeated over and over. I think the finished cross stitch and quilting should be done in about maybe a year or two. I have a lot of patience with crafts but no patience for anything else....
