Covid-19 is Hurting Everyone

I know quite a few people who have the virus. There is a whole family that had it and are all okay now. Some people have several family members down with it and I know that many others also have it. Getting the vaccine is a major headache. Seniors camped out overnight or lined up for hours only to be told that they are out of vaccine. How is Covid-19 affecting your life? Do you know anyone with it, someone who got over it, or anyone who died from it. Will you get the vaccine if it ever becomes available.

I know about three people who recovered from this deadly virus. At this time, my 93 year old uncle is hospitalized with COVID and it doesn't look good.

Recently, I heard that my uncle and his wife got infected in LA. I do no have further information because we cut the tie with them early this year. I just heard from my cousin here.

@akalinus I am not sure if we are going to have reconciliation with them anymore.

I hope that they will recover and that you build a new, better relationship with them in the future.

@Shavkat How would you feel if they did not survive this pandemic?

I know a few people who were positive. Only one actually developed symptoms and is back to work and doing fine. Others never had so much as a sneeze. One other, did develop symptoms, but not until half way through her quorinteen period.

@akalinus Oh, they're all fine. Back to normal as if nothing ever happened. Can't say for sure if the one girl was just saying she had it to get sympathy or attention. Some of the breathing difficulties she described, I'd think should've been impossible if she were posting on Facebook every day. Unless she's real perficiant with using the keyboard, I'd probably have to call BS on her.

I hope they all stay fine. It is a hard road to travel with the virus.

@kaylachan Covid is nothing to joke about or used as a ploy for sympathy. There are too many genuinely sick people to fool around acting as if you have it if you don't.

There is also the flu going around and probably other viruses also. Your nephew could have a negative test the first time and a positive the next time. It is awful.

Last March the virus made me feel weak and having a hard time walking from the bedroom to the bathroom.

That virus really floors a person. I had all the symptoms but no test. It was like getting run over by a train.

That's rough when it is someone in your family. My niece and her husband have it but their young kids have not had any symptoms. I hope they don't get sick.

I have a friend, in the hospital now. He has been there for over a month..My husband lives in a nursing home, and he had it. He got sick Thanksgiving day. My daughter in law had it. My husband caught it and survived. It has changed our life. Everyday seems to get worse. I had one vaccine. My husband had had two. I ho back on the 25th for my second one. Never knew how life could change so fast, and so long.

It changed everything in all of our lives. Even those who escape getting it are suffering because of it.

The biggest thing for me is not being able to visit family in other states. Also, mystery shopping is a pain as not many people are in the office.

I wanted to go to New York for the holidays. I couldn't because my county became the worst in the state during the holidays. They are closing down surgery centers to make more staff available to care for the sick.

I will get vaccine as soon as I can. I will not wait in a long line to get it.

Yeah, the long lines are not good. They should give it to doctors for their patients. The system now is bogged down and ineffeciant.

Of course I will try to get the Covid-19 vaccine as soon as possible if necessary. The important thing is that it is free and I believe our government can provide it. Now in progress.

It is free here too. But it is mostly not available. They need millions of doses and only get thousands.

@Babale They don't vaccinate children here either. Older people and those who are sick also deserve the vaccine. It is cruel to exclude some adults.

@akalinus Because not all residents get vaccines. Only the healthy and adults deserve it. People who are sick and who are still minors are not allowed to be vaccinated.
