Lost in the mall

The mall, a school, in the middle of nowhere - These are the three locations that my subconscious uses to host my "I'm lost" dreams. Last night's dream was in a strip mall complex with breezeways between the various buildings. It felt a lot like a small, cocooned town. It doesn't matter how it really felt though, because I was terrified. In the dream I was trying to find the location where I told my family to pick me up from. I couldn't find it. According to the map, it was supposed to be where I was standing. I looked around and I could not find the coffee shop with the kitschy name. I turned around and walked back the way I came, up and down the corridors and back to the place marked on the map. Each time the place looked a little different or maybe I was noticing more as I walked around. I spotted a booth in the middle of the complex and drew in a shaky breath before approaching the transgendered female behind it to ask for help. She was kind if not a little quirky. She insisted on doing my hair and make up before she would help me. I had a good feeling about her and she promised it would help me relax and so I let her make me over. Let me fast forward a bit. She put me in a dress with a bouffant purple and grey wig. The hair was tall up top but flowed down around me in the back. I finally found where I was supposed to be with her help (It appeared as soon as I turned around.. I just had to walk around the corner) and I went home only to find myself back at the place a few days later. There was more to the dream including me helping her the second time I saw her. She was being bullied because of her choice to transition from male to female and I found out she was being abused as well.

@RebeccasFarm Did he go to the mall a lot? I don't know why malls are so prominent in my dreams.

Yes very distressing. I felt so sorry for the woman too. I was watching Chicago Fire before I went to sleep and I think that was the culprit.

Many parts of that dream are very strange. I haven't had one about being lost for quite some time. I am stuck on the work and school dreams.

I usually dream about being lost in a school or at work or something like that. They are horrendous dreams.

@LindaOHio We can only hope! I think we carry a lot more stress than we realize and it's released through our dreams.

@ScribbledAdNauseum You'd think our brains would give us a break and make up some nice, relaxing dreams more often than not!

Did you wake up very quickly? The quicker I wake up the less I remember.
