They are a Filipino girl band. A sister group of AKB48 in Japan. MNL means Manila (Capital City of the Philippines) 48 because they are 48 girls in group

I have not heard of this band before so I did some research and I found out that they are a girl band. This sort of band has become very popular in recent years all over the world.
