Day 150 Promise 609 2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? 6 But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates. (KJV) A reprobate is someone who is cast off, rejected, worthless. Have you felt that way? As though you had nothing to give? Paul told the Corinthians they weren’t worthless because they had Jesus living in them. He told them to prove themselves to know of a certainty they had both faith and Jesus Christ in their lives. As Christians, you know Jesus dwells in you. You know how strong your faith is and how closely you walk with Jesus your Savior. It is easy to get off the path. A word, an action, a suggestion, innocent as it all seems is a ploy of Satan to lead you astray. You need to prove yourself daily to know whether Satan has distracted you from the gospel of Jesus Christ or you follow Him fully. When you do, you will see what the enemy meant for evil toward you, Jesus can take and turn it for your good. Examine yourself daily and you won’t fall for Satan’s schemes against you. Let’s pray: Father, show me Satan’s schemes and keep me grounded in You as I draw closer to You every day. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
