Solo Friday Night

I am spending Friday night home alone. After a very busy work week, there's nothing I want more right now than to just binge on Netflix or Hulu, have a little bit of snack and just decompress. My husband is staying with his older brother right now to hunt. It's just one of those things that the guys bond over. It's also an opportunity for him to say hi to their mom. I am already on my third movie right now. While I love spending time with my husband, I admit that we also value our own separate time doing our own thing. I think that this is important since we are, after all, two different people albeit married to each other.

Yes, there are times that we get into each other's nerves. Does not make it bad or make us love each other less, we just don't like each other that day.

Deer. My brother in law's girlfriend owns a farm and ranch, so they are going to be on private property.

It's a good thing you're okay to be home alone. It's also a good thing your husband is seeing his family, too. I'm sure when he returns, you'll be happy to see each other.

As one oldie but goodie song goes, "even lovers need a holiday far away from each other." There are things that I want to do that he does not want to do, and there are things that he wants to do that I am not into. Just because we're married does not mean we have to give up on those things.

It truly is. But my husband just called and he is on his way home. I think I am ready for him after my alone time.

Absolutely, I agree with this 100%. But we love each other's company for the most part. We just need to be alone or do our own thing every once in a while.

It is bliss. After working the whole week dealing with a lot of people, answering and dealing with lots of issues, a few hours of alone time is much appreciated.

It's good to have a time for ourselves. I wanted to spend time for myself too once in a while. But for now, I have to spend time at the office doing overtime work.

Yes, it is important to have your own time without your husband. What movies were you watching?
