Now What?

Before the end of December, our city has less than 30 active cases of Covid-19. It's just almost two weeks after the New Year celebration and now we have 60 plus. I think this is the result of the carelessness of people during the holiday season. I think we will see more coming.

I think just like with the flu, the covid isn't going anywhere... =( And I know people who have been VERY careful and followed all rules, stayed home, wore masks, and STILL got it! So, just don't think anyone is safe from it honestly.

I hope we can get over this and will just treat it soon like other diseases. Enough of this lock down I think.

@ZedSmart I agree, the lockdown isn't changing a thing. People still got it! And soon it will be something we are just used to like the flu.

Implementing strict rules may not be an assurance that nobody will get infected but it can help lower or probably totally eliminate the case. It's better to follow the rules all the time.

If you just witness how the people gather at market places during Christmas and New year's eve, it will give you goosebumps.

I'm worried because we might stop working again if our area will be place in lockdown.

In my state we have 88 new cases yesterday. 2 days ago the amount of new cases was almost 200 cases. And our hospitals are already full.

People got complacent. We have to brace and prepare ourselves for a possible third wave. Although, I would argue that the first one hasn't even stopped yet.

@ZedSmart exactly. There is such a thing as pandemic fatigue. We should fight against it and not let our guard down.

It's a continuing battle. Do we have much that left? In terms of resources, I'm draining. Courage? Strength? Hope? I think still in considerable level but is slowly and surely depleting if there's still worst to come.

Wow, you must live in a small town? That's not good though, to see the numbers double like that. Stay safe.

That's a given. People are just careless. Worse, people who got infected unconsciously.

If every body does not cooperate, the effort of others will become a failure. Tsk!
