Lockdown restrictions here in the U.K continue to be strict, meaning I have spent a lot more time watching films on T.V. If lockdown hadn’t happened I would never have found the time to watch so many films. I have seen so many great films there are too many to mention. There must be loads more great films I could see yet. Do you have any ideas? What are the best films you have seen recently?

The platform. Seriously clever film. And quite scary also. I have been looking at the lists of top movies in 2020 and downloading films which look good from.Torrent sites. Watched one last night called Get Duked. Set in the Scottish Highlands it was hilarious. Well worth a watch.

Hi Jim, I have seen both those films you mentioned and I enjoyed them both. I thought Platform had a lot to say metaphorically and did it very effectively. Get Duked was hilarious. I didn’t think I’d take to the characters to begin with but they just got funnier as the film went on. You have a good taste in movies. Thanks for your comment.

@Raynsun I am not really a movie watcher at all. Normally I can't sit still long enough to watch films. But since just before Xmas I have watched quite a few. I have unlimited data and tend to download 6 or 7 movies at a time. Deep Blue Sea 3 is tonight's offering.

@JimBo452020 I’m not really a movie buff either. With lockdown though I’m watching and enjoying them a lot more.

I haven't watched a movie for long time, so I can't recommend you anything. I always accompany my kids watching cartoon.

I have a new baby with a 13 (almost 14) year age gap, so we get to watch all the cartoons again!

Recently watched 'Den Of Thieves' and 'Old School'. The first one is an action movie while the second one is a comedy. Been mostly watching series. Just finished 'Narcos' and 'Narcos Mexico'. Watching 'Better Call Saul' now.

@Raynsun any other recommendations along the lines of Narcos and Narcos Mexico? There are two other tv series on Pablo Escobar that I have been meaning to watch but I wanted a break from cartel stuff.

I haven't seen any lately, but the movie "Greenland" looks good. It has Gerard Butler and is about the end of the world.

@Raynsun We are talking about renting it, but also don't want to spend the money. LOL. But it looks so good. I have a hard time sitting through movies.

@star_disgate You have to be in the mood (and have the time of course) to watch a movie...Finding a spare 2 hours can be difficult sometimes ??

I love all the Godfather movies, and Peggy Sue got married. I’m not into horror as much as I used to be, but every now and again there’s a good one comes out.

@Sam_graphixer Thanks for the tips, I will put them on my movies to watch list. I like to watch movies based on real life events. The best ones I’ve seen recently are ‘The Captor’ and ‘The Trial Of The Chicago Seven’. But it really depends on the mood I’m in, sometimes I just like to watch something less intense.

Yes I don’t mind movies with subtitles at all. In fact I find that they make you focus more on the movie which adds to the enjoyment of it.
