Sins of Fathers is a story that shows how even really bad people can change their ways. It also shows that people are not always what they seem to be and even the most notorious criminals have another side to them. I enjoyed reading this book because it is a true life story. It is the story of the life of a man called Michael Emmett who is the author of the book. Michael wanted to write his own story to show other people how he changed from being a very bad guy to being a better person thanks to his religion. Michael appeared to be living the high life as a career criminal and following in his father`s footsteps. But even the people who were closest to him could not know how Michael really felt inside because he had gained a reputation as being a hard man. But deep down inside poor Michael had been badly traumatised after being abused by a young female babysitter when he was only a child. This really affected his feelings of self worth as he got older. After living like a rich man on the proceeds of crime for many years, Michael did eventually get caught and he had to serve a long prison sentence for his crime. It was while he was in prison that he found his faith.
