Signs of Sinus Infection

I went to bed with a headache, and I woke up to another headache. I finally identified that this is the onset of sinus infection when my right ear starts to hurt too. So I did a sinus rinse. Not to gross anyone out here, but I felt so much better after seeing all the gunk has been flushed out of my nose. I still took some Advil for the pain, and I am feeling a little better now. At first it scared me as headache and clogged nose are common to those who contracted the COVID virus, but since I have no fever I think I should be just fine. I have allergies to pollen, and since our state has been subjected to very high winds, and we have been warm-ish this January, I think it stirred up too much allergens and now I am suffering. I went to take a short nap after doing my rinse, and now I feel refreshed. I think I will make myself another cup of coffee, and then I need to swing by the grocery to get some peppers for the Mississippi roast that I plan to make.

Hopefully it is just your sinuses and not covid. I had covid and all my symptoms were was a cough runny nose and sore throat. Hoping you get better and it goes away soon for you.

Thank you, I hope so too. I am feeling so much better already. I still have a slight headache though, probably because I have been clocking only 3-4 hours sleep these past couple of days.

I think you'll be fine. You can contract other respetory illnesses. Shouldn't hit the alarm button because you're stuffed up. If your month is going like mine in the fact that the weather is constantly up and down, that could do it. Glad you're starting to feel better. Getting excess gunk out of your nose is good for you.

Thanks, I can't believe that a simple sinus rinse can bring me this much relief. I never had any allergies or sinus issues before. But when I moved here in the Midwest, I started to have issues.

Thursday, I went out. I woke up with a bad sinus headache. I thought first sure I had contracted covid. I didn't do a wash, from now on I will. I'll buy some advil. Something how a headache can make you think of covid.

I told myself if I developed a fever or lost my sense of taste then I most likely have contracted COVID.

Glad that you are feeling better. I do the same as you when I feel bad, flush out my nose. It really does help a lot. Enjoy your Mississippi pot roast.

Thank you, seeing as how I can smell the roast all over the house and taste it, I think I am fortunate that this is not any worse. Still, sinus infections and ear infections are no joke.

It's a certain way of cooking pot roast, a recipe I found online. It's got pepperoncini, butter, ranch powder dressing and aus jus gravy.

Thank you, it's getting there. But as I get older, I do not bounce back to 100% tip-top shape like I once used to when I was younger.

So glad you are feeling a bit better now!! :) We've had colds here a week or so ago, but thankfully everyone is better and there were no fevers or anything like that. We get sick every year when the cold weather hits.

I am usually lucky I don't get sick really bad, just sinus infections, ear infections and allergies, nothing that a rinse or antibiotics cannot clear up. But this COVID made me so paranoid about anything.

I do feel better now. And since my headache has receded to this annoying throb rather than a pounding one, I feel relieved it's nothing serious. I can still taste the coffee and stroopwafel so I think I am good.

Not all symptoms of Covid-19 begin with fever, sometimes there are even people with Covid-19 without symptoms. So you better be careful.

Good point. So far all the safety precautions that my husband and I are taking are working, we've survived 2020 without contracting it or getting sick.
