Deceased

I am so tired of mail and calls coming for someone who is deceased. I also find it more than irritating how expensive it is to get official copies of a death certificate. I wonder if it is the same price in every state. It's outrageous here.

I can't figure it out because there's nothing special. It's just an extremely high fee at a very emotional time.

That did happen to me a lot, too. I don't recall if there was a cost involved here, but I went through the same thing after my mom passed. We shared the same name. So of course, I had to deal with phone calls and so on. It was a real mess.

In Louisiana one agency charges $12 each and another $36 each. Go figure!

Here, in this country, we can register at the National Registration Department, then just copies the certificate to use. I can't remember how much for the original certificate but I'm pretty sure it's not expensive.
