Will Drew Brees Really Retire?

It's been rumored that this year is Drew Brees' last year in the NFL. He's getting older and he has a beautiful family to take care of. It seems he's been getting hurt more and more severely than usual. Yes, New Orleans lost last night and it's a sour note to end things on but...is it really over. Brees isn't telling just yet and if he doesn't come back it's the end of an era in New Orleans. No matter what he chooses, I wish him the best of luck. He's one of the best. *picture from google

Personally, I think he should retire. As you've stated, he seems to be more prone to injury and it's difficult to tell on TV but his arm strength also seems to be deuterating. I've always been a Drew Brees fan and hate to see him go out with a loss but I think it's better to go out this way then to possibly become a "backup" to another QB. I also wish him and his family the best of luck in whatever he decides to do.

Maybe Winston and Brees can switch spots lol. I loved the moment between him, his family and Brady though. That's saying something since I don't like Brady lol

@JordanLader I'm not a huge Brady fan either but I have to admit he's a great quarter back for this era of football. Is he the Greatest Of All Time (GOAT), I don't know but he wouldn't get my vote. I think that if Brady played in the days of QB's getting driven into the ground well after they threw the ball, he would have retired yeast ago - like so many other QB's that were considered the GOAT. But it was very nice to see to competitors like Brees (and family) and Brady after the game. I think it shows how much respect Brady has for Brees. Winston and Brees should never be mentioned in the same sentence. Winston can't carry Brees' jock strap.

@Beaser I think the same thing about Brady. I think Rivers would have done the same. I'm on the fence about Rothlesiburger because he has been taken down a lot over his career. I never said that Winston was in the same category as Brees however, he is the back up and Peyton has already said that Hill isn't getting the starting job...which is just wrong in my honest opinion. So unless he pulls a shocker and gets a new QB in the draft or Brees decides not to retire, the next up is Winston.
