Today was a good day. I decided to watch Homes Under the Hammer instead of This Morning because me and my Mum are getting fed up of Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby! I like seeing what the houses are like before and then what they look like afterwards when they've been done up. I used up the last of my peanut butter but decided not to put it on the shopping list for next week because I've decided I've gone off the whole grain Ryevitas that I have on a Monday. I had 6 left over but I put them in with Mum's crackers so she can have them! So that's another recipe I need to look for to have for Monday lunch! Today we went to get my repeat prescription that we should have got on Friday so now I'm OK for pills til March. Andre Rieu was on the telly again tonight! Tonight's episode was called Love in Maastricht. Many of Andre's orchestra fell in love because of being in the orchestra. We heard a few of them say how they met while touring with Andre and fell in love. So they have Andre to thank for bringing them together! 3 of the orchestra were actually pregnant and you saw one of them being fitted for a dress with her baby bump! One of the soprano soloists talked about how she missed her boyfriend who lives in Mexico. We saw her talking to him by video call on her phone. Later she sang a song from Madame Butterfly and she said how she would be thinking of her boyfriend as she sang it. Ofcause there are a lot of couples in the audience at Andre Rieu concerts and often you see them kissing when the camera is on them. I often wonder, do they wait til the camera is on them before they kiss, or does the camera man wait til they're about to kiss before he points the camera at them? A lot of the couples get up to dance, especially when Andre plays waltzes! We heard some nice romantic songs tonight. Because the theme was love all the songs were romantic. It was a very good episode. Then, after that, we watched Long Lost Family on +1. (+1 is a channel that has all the same programmes as the main channel, but an hour later). Long Lost Family is a programme where people who have been adopted ask the programme makers if they can find their birth parents, or a Mother can ask if they can find her son or daughter that she had to give up for adoption. Tonight a man asked if they could find his mother who he thought had abandoned him. Unfortunately she had died a few years earlier but they found he had a sister he never knew about. She explained that she'd known she had brother all her life and their mother had never forgotten him. She'd left him with her family and thought they were bringing him up and she went back to look for him and he wasn't there. They told her he didn't want to see her. Which was obviously a lie. He hadn't been brought up by them at all and he thought his Mum had abandoned him when she hadnt. Another story was about a couple who had been forced to give up their son because they were too poor to look after him so he went into care. They were told if they got on their feet they could have him back, but when they did and they went back to get him they were told that a Spanish couple had adopted him and he was happy with them. They even went to court to try and get him back but the judge ruled in favour of the Spanish couple because they had more to offer him and he was settling in well with them. Well, they found him and explained to him that his parents didn't want to give him up. He was living in Spain and they had to have an interpreter because he spoke very little English. At the end all the families meet up for the first time. It's very emotional. How was your day? I hope you have a lovely night

Sounds like you had a lovely day with what you watched. Sad that the boy was taken by his parents and adopted by another couple. Good that they came together so they could see their son. I'm sure it was bittersweet for them all. Have a blessed evening.

Thank you very much. Yes, Long Lost Family is always emotional. It was commonplace for unmarried mothers or people who couldn't afford to look after children to be forced to give up their kids for adoption wether they wanted to or not and I find it very sad and unfair. I really enjoy watching Andre Rieu. I can never get enough of him. When I've finished on MyLot I'm going to go and watch him on YouTube!
