Day 163 Promise 624 Ephesians 2:19 Now, therefore, ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God; 20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone; 21 In whom all the building fitly framed together grows unto a holy temple in the Lord: 22 In whom ye also are built together for a habitation of God through the Spirit. Everyone likes to belong. They want to feel they are part of something. Paul told the Ephesians they were no longer strangers or foreigners in the body of Christ. They were fellow citizens. They built their lives along with the apostles and prophets on a foundation whose chief cornerstone is Jesus Christ. As Christians, you are also built on the foundation with those who came before you. Jesus is the chief cornerstone of your faith and in Him, you grow and have your being. Acts 17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. (KJV) Your lives are intertwined with Jesus Christ. Everything you do has a purpose in the body of Christ. You do not act alone. You belong. Let’s pray: Father, thank you for including me in the Body of Christ. Help me build up my faith as I encourage and build up those around me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 21 January 2021 by Valerie Routhieaux Image courtesy of Pixabay

Christ is the head, and his body is the church. The head and the body became one new person when the head saved the sinned body. And the body parts, the members perform their tasks, their duties.
