Clawing at a new idea

That's what it kind of felt like last evening when I was itching to find a new hobby to pursue. A lot of things came to mind from sewing (which I haven't completely ruled out) to plastic canvas (which I most certainly have ruled out). This morning I got on the world wide web and opened ol' trusty four eyes (google - and before you say anything, I have four eyes too so I can say it!) and started searching. You know what I came up with? POLYMER CLAY. Yep, I thought about it before but sort of ruled it out.. I've ruled it back in though because I saw a kit on amazon (and it's cheaper at walmart) for several colors of clay and things like lobster clasps, key rings etc that I can use to make trinkets. BINGO! I can make my own stitch markers with the lobster clasps. I've been looking at lobster clasps stitch markers on etsy but none quite caught my eye.. The .000000000001 of a cent that I receive from this discussion will go to the purchasing of said polymer clay kit.

I think for me it would be worth it. I am sure once I get the supplies and start making the stuff I will regularly post about it here.

@kaylachan Polymer clay is like shrinkadinks meeting playdoh. Mom helped me make shrinkadink keychains and jewelry when I was a little girl.

Thank You. I think that I will. I already have ideas in my mind. I would like to make my friend a keychain of the front of her jeep. For me it will be a hobby, but who knows? Maybe I will open an online shop.

@thelme55 I will. I am not sure when I will buy the supplies necessary to make it, but hopefully soon.

I agree! I've seen a lot of cute polymer clay things too and well it will be like playing with play doh again I assume.

I have several ideas already. A closed book, the front bumper of a jeep wrangler...

@LindaOHio You shape the clay and bake it in the oven. You can make keychains, earrings.. Anything your heart desires out of the clay.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Maybe I really don't understand what this clay kit is about.
