Hi guys, Hope you all are doing good. Everyday feels same. I don't think we are able to differentiate weekdays from weekends much since this pandemic started. Anyways, as you have read the topic I am going to discuss so let's begin! Personally I learnt cooking at later age in my life that's what I feel. I did my Bcom and then did my MBA in Marketing. Till that time, I had concentrated only in studies. I didn't had any interest in cooking till then as my mom cooks very well. She knows almost all cuisines so she didn't let me enter the kitchen. After few years, when my dad got ill and was hospitalized. Mom use to stay with him in hospital. I learnt cooking on calls whereby my mom told me recipes of simple dal n rice, basic cooking and I followed. I concentrated very well while cooking so didn't burn anything and food tasted good. Slowly I developed lot of interest in cooking. I started watching cooking videos on you tube and started making it. My mom taught me how to make soft rotis for which I am very thankful to her. My mom cooks with all love and perfection. She still is very interested in watching cooking shows and trying recipes at home. I like cooking too and make decent food according to me, lol![em]lol. I cook when I am at my bro's place as at home my mom only cooks because a) She cooks very well. b) She doesn't have patience. I have lot of patience and I cook with lot of focus so till date haven't burnt anything or nothing is raw. I, however, know how to cook vegetarian food. I haven't tried my hands on nonveg stuff. I need to learn baking stuff too as I quite enjoy eating it. Kindly let me know your thoughts and experiences about it.

I learnt cooking at the age of 28. I was forced to do it for my survival. I never had touched cooking before this. I was staying alone in a foreign country where I could not eat in normal restaurants outside so there was no other way but learn cooking.

Good to know. There are generally two things one a person learns because of interest and two a person learns in order to survive. I hope you enjoy cooking. Thanks for sharing

I learned the basics at a very early age and had to cook meals since then till I was 21 as my Mom worked long hours with very little pay. I love making pies the best.
