In Maithon the hills are green due to Barakar River. / myLot

The Damodar Valley Corporation has created and dam and beautiful water front in Maithon. The hills in Maithon in Jharkhand state are lush green. It is due to the periodic rains and water of Barakar river.

Yes it is beautiful indeed, one of their projects is focused on generating power and the water pressure from the dam is the source.

Thanks Macaya yes electricity is generated and it is helpful for many industries depending on thermal power.
