When you use cash for purchases, save all the change( just the coins) you get back. And put it into your savings piggy bank, jar or whatever you use. Also make sure to use coupons. If you want something from the store, make sure to look for a coupon for it first. Also I've heard that some people actually take the money saved from the coupon and put it into their savings. So say, if you have a coupon for 55 cents off an item. You would put 55 cents into savings. That way you are actually saving and not just spending it on something else. I haven't done it myself though. Hope that helps! :)

The ways that I have found to save money is to cook from scratch. eat more vegetarian because meat cost more. Buy store brands . They are usually packaged by the big name brands. Shop the discount stores. But be careful because some time those bargains are not always bargains. I bought a package of 4 finger nail files for a $. They only lasted for one use so be careful there. Shop the thrift stores going for new items. Rent movies instead of going out. use public transportation as much as possibe.
