Hi guys, Hope you all are doing good. As most of you know that I recently lost my dad and it's already been two weeks since he passed away. I wonder how time flies! My dad had battled mental sickness since long time and during this tough times, not many people were their to enquire about his health or provide us emotional support. There were selected people like our neighbours, my dad and mom mutual friend couple and my mom's younger brother. After his demise, during the time when prayer meetings were held, their came a lot of people for mourning and all wanted to know how it happened, when it happened and what not. I really don't like and don't understand the formality one does of visiting and enquiring after one's death. I really started wondering today as to how when one person is alive many a times some people just don't have time or care to know how one's doing and suddenly when one is gone, people can take out time and visit the dear ones. I didn't speak much to all the people because of two reasons. One I was mourning the loss of my dad and second I had since long time stopped expecting anything from anyone. There is no point in saying anything as the other people would just listen and do nothing. We have some important work to be taken care of financial and otherwise so would rather concentrate on doing that. Kindly let me know what you think about it and share your experiences.

There is a lot of truth in your words. Unfortunately, people only remember others when they are gone.

People are people and can’t be changed unfortunately. At least they paid their last respects to your beloved dad.
