Do Greatest Hits Still Sell

I mean with internet and all now. In old days they would do this because its was a quick money maker and people could just buy one album instead of all of them to get all the songs they liked. They used to also put one or two new songs on to give people a little more bang for their buck. Facebook actually showed me this one Rage Against The Machine putting out a greatest hits album. Has 17 songs covering 5 albums. I am not actually sure the last time I saw a greatest hits album. I think maybe Rancid was the last one to do it but they did it unique. Instead of them doing it, they had musicians who loved the band cover their greatest hits. See, that is worth a buy for me. This, most of their fans will have all their albums and have all those songs. I also did not see one or two songs that are new, unless this is just a tease. The only reason I can think people will buy it is for vinyl just because its Rage Against the Machine and will be part of the overall collection. Zach is said to be back, but then the pandemic hit so maybe this is a filler album until they can make something new again. The track that always catches my eye is Calm Like a Bomb. off The Battle Of Los Angeles Album. I am calm too, until someone makes me explode. The track that I always end up wanting to listen to is No No Shelter off of Godzilla. Its their least known album because its a movie soundtrack and the song is often forgot about but it bangs up there with their top songs. Lets be honest has Rage Against The Machine ever put out a bad song.? Depends on your ideology I guess as many say the band is just to political for them. Political in doing the right thing, I always thought what is ever wrong with that and stand for something or die for nothing.
This is the lyrics for No Shelter by Rage Against the Machine. Enjoy.Lyrics:The main attraction distractionGot you number than number they numbEmpty your poc...

Rage against any machine is bad unless it took your money. Than you have to shake it back and forth until you get some thing out. Good song.

@crossbones27 Except for the machine that I put money into and the pop kept coming out. Until the items was sold out. I called the number on the machine and told them what happened and they would not come and get the pop so I took it to them.

Can't say I'm familiar with the band. However I guess it could. I don't know.

I guess we will find out unless they did something similar to Rancid to where people get a different take.
