Debt is an activity that can hardly be avoided by humans, both the rich and the poor. The only difference is the goal. Do you think that debt is good or bad? Picture from Google.

It depends on the purpose. In my current situation, I still consider my debt as liability but with good purpose because I made some loans before to support my children's education. Though they may have had graduated already and are now employed, I still have payables. But I am looking forward to pay those debts and will save for future business plans. I am also thinking of availing a loan (renewing my existing loans)for business purpose but still thinking about it.

I agree. In general, parents have debts to send their children to school or increase business capital. That's very good, as long as we are good at choosing the bank that has the lowest installment interest.

That's right, especially if our goal in debt is just to buy luxury goods and have fun. In the end it becomes a nightmare if you can't pay the installments.

Debt is not good since it leads to heartache and pain.

If we like to be in debt but don't have enough monthly income, that will indeed be a problem.

Depending on where you spend the money. If you spend it for a good investment that's good but if you spend on unnecessary things then that's a bad idea.

@Babale Yes, so we must decide wisely. But as long as you can pay whether bad or good decisions if you were happy with what you spent then so be it.

I also avoid it. I think being in debt is bad especially owing to buy an item just because you want to be the same as the other. Debt is okay as long as it's an emergency

It's a wise choice. Indeed, we should avoid debt if we don't really need it.

Debt is no good, it can be addicting. If it can be returned in accordance with the time period, it might still be said to be good.

The problem is sometimes people often take shortcuts when they are pressed for financial problems, one of which is debt. Me too. At least we don't have to steal or rob.

It's good when it's making other's money, bad when you get in too deep and need to pick and chose your bills.

Then what about a credit card? Isn't that another form of debt?

We prefer to be debt free. Being in debt is awful and causes you to pay more interest.

It is true. Even thinking about debt repayments makes us sick and adds to the burden of medical expenses.

I don´t like to have debt and so I avoid making it. If I want something to buy, I have to save first before buying.

It's very easy to borrow and harder to pay it back. People don’t realize, but they live like prisoners. When repaying the debt, you exactly are in control and behave as per your bank and creditor's terms.

That's right, temptation always comes when it comes to big money. For this reason, people in debt must be wise in choosing and sorting out how to spend the money so that it is useful.

The most important thing is we should not get into debt with moneylenders. Because they take very high interest on debt.
3 Feb 21
@Babale yes money lenders get a higher interest...Make sure if get a Dept it's not a headache..

Debt is not good but sometimes it's necessary. You can start a business with debt, then you might be able to eliminate that debt. Or you can start a debt and can't never got out from a hole that you dig yourself into.

That's right, sometimes I'm tempted to go into debt through an online application. Because the requirements are very easy without guaranteed goods. It's just that after many complaining with high interest and many threats, I resigned.
