15 of Yosemite’s Giant Sequoias Fall in Most Devastating Storm in Decades

Fifteen of Yosemite’s Giant Sequoia’s were toppled in last weeks storms, with winds getting over eighty miles an hour, causing a lot of destruction, and extensive damage, millions and millions dollars worth of damage.
The park was closed for a few days for clean up and repairs, and thankful despite the extensive damage no one was hurt!

Wow, winter sure has hit some places hard. Thank god no one was seriously hurt.

What a shame. I'm glad no one was hurt though. We saw those giant trees on our trip to California.

They are amazing, one of the Cabin Trees or drive thru trees at Big Trees was also uprooted in the storm!
