The site is legit and if you respond to other members posts especially those that visit your discussions you'll do better here. It does take time to make the money. Making five dollars per month can new done if you spend a decent amount of time getting to know others through their discussions. Replying to those that respond or comment on your discussions will keep those people coming back to you as well.
