In the mood for watching feel good Valentine movies, I checked on 'Always Be My Maybe.' The plot revolves on two childhood neighbors who grew up as bosom buddies, friends through the awkward years of adolescence, separated for fifteen years, and met again, the man still attached to the familiar home grounds, the woman a visionary in her art of cooking craft. The movie genre could be classified as love story drama. Generally wholesome except for some 'parental guidance scenes' like Keanu Reeves being a highly unpleasant character. Shocked, I wanted to act violently. But knowing Keanu Reeves a supportive and down-to-earth human being, it was a joy to watch him essay a fool's role. Always Be My Maybe is fun to watch. Marcus and Sasha got Keanu make a fool of himself. Ha ha. Cute!

That's all right. We all have preferences when it comes to movie genre. Not my cup to tea, too, but gave it a try. It was okay. But with Keanu, it was a tad funny.
