I DON'T LIKE MY Birthdays

There was time, when I was a kid of course, that I used to like my bithday SOOOO much. I would tell everyone that my birthday is coming and start planning from 2 months prior.
Now, I hate it. I don't even like someone saying "happy birthday's"
I delete or uninstall my whatsaap beforehand, expecting people don't wish me. I have not mentioned it in my facebook too....
What about you? You like your birthdays or hate them??

My favorite birthday was about 6 or 7 years ago. It as on a Sunday, and my hubby had me out the door very early. He took me for breakfast, and then he asked if I'd like to take a nice summer's drive. Of course I agreed, but the drive was a long one. We ended up along a lake and he and I sat on a bench up on the upper deck overlooking the lake and the next thing that I knew someone came up behind me and put their hands over my eyes and whispered in my ear, guess who? It was our son and his wife. It was a sweet surprise. We spend the rest of the day together and had so much fun.

Any particular reason for that strong hatred? I don't want a loud birthday party but yes I like being wished by friends and family and feeling that they do care about me. And as for celebration goes, I am for a quiet family time. The lesser people are there, the better.

Yeah, less people, but close ones makes the day special
My reason, I just have so much of mood swings..God knows, I just hate having a bad day and giving party or celebrating and faking smile for other bunch.

I don't know...I get mood swings during my birthday.
Maybe it started from the time i was clinically depressed...But not sure.
I just remember faking smiles for some bunch of people, and so i don't like it.

I think "someone hates their birthday" that the older they are, the less time they have to live in this world. or maybe something bad happened on her previous birthday

Of course I am happy with my birthday. It's just that since childhood I used to not celebrate it. I often forget when my birthday has arrived and only realized after a few days or saw the notification in the email. Still it is a very important day for us.

i prefer the days before my Birthday so know a bit how that feels.
Also like the days after not too keen on the actual day depends on how I feel.
Whatsapp I would deffo put it on hold for that day yes.

Eh, it's just another day. I get the time with my husband, which is the highlight of my day. But, my dad passed a week-and-a-half before I turned 19, so it's always a hard time of year.
