Were there advanced ancient civilizations ?

When you look at some of the older carvings and paintings from the ancient Egyptian or South American cultures, many of them seem to depict very advanced things, like airplanes, helicopters, and even something that looks like a person using a desktop computer.
I find it very interesting to read about these civilizations, and I wonder what they knew back then, and if it was a lot more advanced then we have given them credit for in the history books.

There are a lot of older buildings that seem like they should not have been built by using the technology that was available at the time they were built, and this is true for buildings even up until the 1800’s.
Some of the most beautiful cities around the world have buildings that were constructed before the age of mechanical construction.
Many cities are finding parts of older buildings that have been buried for maybe centuries, by some kind of natural disaster, and when the city has to do some excavation work, for one reason or another, they find the bottom of buildings buried underneath the parts still above ground.

@Happyflowerlady Yes that happens often here in Italy. They are building a new line for the metro in Rome and it is going slowly because they keep discovering new ruins and then can't continue until they have been removed and/or cataloged by the authorities.

Maybe they were just trying to imagine things that they depicted what was in their mind and without knowing that it would really be possible or would come to reality.

I believe there were Civilizations in the ancient period,like Mohenjo Daro,Maya,Sodom etc.But because of some reasons,they ruined and disappeared.Maybe it's the prehistoric Nuke war,maybe it's the first Apocalypse of Human being,maybe it's the invasion of the Aliens.After all,only God knows the truth
