Heyyy, look at me, I’m getting in another Daily Blogging Challenge haha. :p “Name something you lost or gave away that can never be replaced.” Ughhhhh, I know this one right off the bat. My late Dad’s dark blue sweatshirt. It was just a plain sweatshirt that I found while straightening up, and I asked my Mom if it was okay to wash it and start wearing it. She said it was okay to do so. I have one of his t-shirts and one of his Air Force uniform shirts, but I don’t wear those. I keep them in a safe place. So anyway, I was getting rid of stuff, and I realized two sweatshirts were missing. One was my John Cena (WWE) hoodie, and the other was, you guessed it, my Daddy’s sweatshirt. I don’t know if it got mixed up in other stuff or placed in storage (I’m hoping that’s the case and it reappears), or if it accidentally got donated or tossed. The same can be said for my John Cena sweatshirt, except I *CAN* replace that if I find one on eBay. And yes, I can always buy a new blue sweatshirt, but it’s not the same. I know it wouldn’t smell like him or whatnot because I needed to wash it, but the point is it was MY DAD’S sweatshirt. He’s always with me, of course, but it would’ve felt like a piece of him was with me when I’d wear it. So buying a new one at the store isn’t going to cut it, at least not for me. I’m hoping it reappears someday, and that I didn’t accidentally get rid of it, but luckily, I still have the two other shirts I mentioned, plus his coffee travel mug that I bought him from 7-11 a while before he passed. Mom gave it to me since I do drink coffee and bought it for him. It kind of leaks, so I didn’t get rid of it, but it’s also in a safe place. I know that may seem like a “waste” to some, but I don’t care, it was my Dad’s and I don’t want to part with it. Besides, I can still drink out of it without the lid if I want to. Anyways, that’s it for today’s writing challenge. Take care, everyone. Photo Credit: I snapped this picture of my Daddy and me back in 2008. My younger sister is cropped out (of this copy) because I didn’t get her permission to post her on MyLot, and I don't feel like bothering her to do so lol.

Thank you so much. I really appreciate it. And we still have one of his caps, but I had to pack it up after he passed because the sight of it would make my older sister cry, and I didn't want her to feel that pain every time she saw it. I need to ask her if it's okay, but my Mom said if we find it, my 11yr old niece (my sister's daughter) can have it. He used to put it on her when she was a baby, and then let her look in the mirror to see it, and she loves hats, so I think if anyone gets it, it should be her.

That is a nice memory photo. I have two hats one my dad wore in his time and one from my late husband, I keep the hats atop of the videos I have and I look at them and the memories return I could never get rid of these hats.

Thank you so much, I appreciate it. I'm glad you were able to keep his hat and your husband's hat. I mentioned something about my Dad's hats in one of the above comments. You never have to get rid of them. It's so weird to watch the home movies, but I'm so glad we have them.
