In the better late than never story from San Diego California a former U S Navy veteran named Paul Grisham who was working as a weather reporter in Antarctica in October 1967 for a period of 13 months lost his wallet while serving in that region.
Some concerned persons found the missing wallet when the former building where Grisham who is 91 years of age who is now living in San Diego found his wallet in the rubble.
The wallet was sent to friends who live in New Hampshire who had the task of trying to find Paul to inform him of the good news that his missing wallet was going to be returned to him in the mail.
Thanks to Bruce McKee who is in charge of a not for profit group named Indiana Spirit of '45 that assists veterans to reunite with their lost possessions who used the power of the internet and telephone calls to send the missing wallet to Paul.
When Paul received his missing wallet that did not have any money inside but he still has his drivers license and other materials inside, he was happy that the wallet he lost 53 years ago in Antarctica has finally come home.

I know what you mean since most of the time when a wallet gets lost, it is lost for good.

Wow! What a story. I would have thought that the wallet was gone for good.
