Wow ... Am I Obsessed with Sarah Silverman, or Is She Just the Most Iconic Guest-Star Ever?

I couldn't find a "clue hug"-image, but https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1033266/mediaviewer/rm1880987648/ is Sarah Silverman (as Marci Maven), Tony Shalhoub (as Adrian Monk) & Traylor Howard (as Natalie Teegen)

I mean, not 'starring as herself' (when the most iconic would be Stan Lee or Donald J. Trump); but 'playing characters,' Sarah Silverman guest-starred in a couple shows that stick in my mind. There's her iconic role in STAR TREK: VOYAGER, where she played a 20th century astronomer who witnessed Voyager's successful trip back to Earth (several hundred years in their past) and helped them get BACK TO THE FU-- ... uhh, -Time! the Fu Time! Time of Kung-Fu ...' But the iconic role I just saw her in (tho it originally aired in 2007 ... "iconic"? 'You might not think that word means what I think it means.' (paraphrasing THE PRINCESS BRIDE's Inigo Montoya)) was as Adrian Monk's biggest fan Marci Maven (Monk? Maven? were the writers a little bit 'on the nose' with these names?) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1033266/ As Monk's biggest fan, Maven had followed Monk's police-consultant career for 'ages' (almost as long as he'd been off the force, and maybe even before ... might be enough back-story there for a 'whatever they call those shows that develop from other shows' threads ... like Frasier from Cheers') It's odd how--tho she knew "everything about him"--she didn't last ONE DAY as his personal assistant (taking over from Natalie because she said she'd do it for free) without al-of-a-sudden giving up on her 'years-long obsession' (which had even caused Monk to get a restraining-order) to start on another obsession (And that was back in the Naught's, before the Internet put 'years of obsession over every celebrity' at our fingertips!) And if anyone else had portrayed Marci, I would've forgotten it in a few days (which is why I had to post this NOW). But I think Sarah Silverman's performance etched it in audiences' memory for ... well, maybe not independently; but we'll be able to recall it when someone says, "Hey, remember when Sarah Silverman guest-starred on MONK? ... Clue-Hug!"
