Nature as I have often said here is acting weird. This is no time for papayas but we are eating them lately. Here is one which I have decided to gift to an old lady my friend who I will be visiting this Sunday. She is in her nineties. Papayas taste nice in summer and now with occasional rains which again is not normal they may not be as sweet as they should be. What fruits do you stack up in your freezer to take care of your winter season?

Wow, you have papayas too at Solitaire ! Here, we can get most fruits all year 'round at the store. The only fruit I might keep in the freezer are bits of pineapple so we can use them anytime . . . I could never use up a whole fresh pineapple at any given time.

@allknowing We have meyer lemons, tangelo, and orange. Citrus ready in the winter. The tangelos are always eaten up quickly . . . the orange here is not my favorite but can be juiced. If the lemons are going out of season, we can pick them, juice them, and make ice cubes to store in the freezer (but we usually give them away by that time).

None. You can buy just almost any kind of fruit you want at the grocery store year-round. You may see more of a seasonal fruit during certain times, but you can usually get what you want when you want.

I have never stacked up any fruit. Usually, if I can't get fresh fruit I get canned or frozen from the store
