When your whole world is silent:

February 23, 2021 11:32am CST
Even one free voice becomes powerful. Except if, the loud and noisy crowd around you try to silence your one free voice. In your thinking mind, whose voice do you believe is powerful? Is it the voice from within called, conscience? Or your heart-- your emotions that talk too much, all at the same time in one precious breath-- over-powering your conscience. Hence, shuts up your mind altogether into acts of good work and kind deeds? Me, at the moment, I know that there is only one Voice whom I trust does not keep silent towards me."Ïn the day of my trouble I will call on You, for You will answer me." And then, my strength is restored and renewed to make a good turn to act where I am needed the most. I'd love to hear your voice if you wish to respond.

My inner voice is always busy. I try to calm it down on many days. It can be overpowering. But it also guides me through the difficult times. Emotions are all over the place. Roller coaster on many days. I try to calm things down by meditation.

Thank you. I agree with what you said. Meditation and talking (my mind) to my emotions (heart), "You have a good and blessed heart. You are doing fine." Helps me, too, to think right and move on to see where I am needed the most. For the past two days, I was feeling discouraged and struggling. . So, like you, meditation and dwelling on good thoughts helps me renew my strength and channel my thoughts away from my troubles.

@everwonderwhy And thank you for the opportunity. Positive words can go so far. Our minds need to hear positive words. Glad you also are able to meditate to get through the valleys.

Treating others as we like to be treated helps us to keep tuned to our inner voice and shuts out outside disturbances.

Yes. Thank you. A good turn of good deeds daily is always the result of my 'reflections'.

A conscience is a good thing to have, it reins in those 'not so good' actions. But I believe it comes from ourselves - I'm not religious.

Thank you. I believe in what you said. Conscience, when our hearts listen to it, leads us to good actions, saves us from ourselves getting into all sorts of trouble and become useful source of good deeds to others. I'm not religious, either. Religion is sometimes troublesome.
