My husband turned 72 yesterday

We had a wonderful day for his 22nd birthday. He opted to not work on his birthday and being a substitute teacher in three school districts were we live he works 2-3 days a week usually during the school year. Yes even now he works even with Covid But yesterday he took the day off and a good friend who recently sold his property next door to us stopped in. He is living with his sons right now and come April they are headed to Alaska. But it was good to see John and he even had a gift of wholesome figs. Our daughter called us from Nebraska enroute to work to wish her dad a Happy birthday. She moved there 3 years ago and plans to eventually move back here in a couple more years. Where most her children reside and her grandchildren. We miss her greatly so it was a Joy to hear from her. Our younger son did not call but his wife Helen contacted my husband to wish him a happy birthday from their family. My husband wanted a new wallet larger than the one he was using that would hold more credit/debit cards and other things with the credit card theft protection. He also wanted some colorful pens to mark his bible with that did not bleed. I ordered them from Amazon and they came right on time for his birthday. He was quite delighted. Our other two sons reside with us being divorced and one got him some t-shirts and socks. Another got him a bottle of Wine he likes and it will likely last him 6 months as he does not drink much just a glass once in awhile One of our granddaughters and her husband came and brought him other pens, socks and some favorite snacks of mixed nuts. And one of our grandsons gave him a bottle of Kaula he will also use a bit once in while he likes some in a cup of hot chocolate. I made a turkey dinner and all the trimmings and a Pumpkin pie which he loves. It was an over all good day with hope and prayer it is a good year for him.
