The Miracle Fruit

My elderly friend gave me a bowl of Miracle Fruit. Miracle in the sense that the fruit changes the bitter and sour tastes into sweet.
I did ask friends if they know the real name of the fruit. One said it is called Goji Berry and another said it is 'Synsepalum dulcificum, a plant known for its berry that, when eaten, causes sour foods (such as lemons and limes) subsequently consumed to taste sweet, effect or which is due to miraculin.'
On further study, the Miracle Fruit is miraculous also because it is beneficial to the health.

@eileenleyva Oh you have it? That is nice to have if given the opportunity although the place where I live is a bit dark and there is little sun that comes in my place that is why plants do not really grow well or survive.

@rsa101 Perhaps farm nurseries carry this new fruit plant for sale. Ask around.
Am planting the seeds to give Goji plants to friends for Christmas. Wish me luck!

Pleasure sharing.
A friend says it's good for soup also. I will have to check out a recipe for that yet.

Just had five for dessert this lunch time.
The fruit is rare, isn't it, and just making her sweetness known.

Yes, it's an interesting fruit. Pretty small and I had five for breakfast, five for mid-morning snack, and five as lunch dessert. Truly enjoying Goji berries!

Been partaking of the sweetness of the Miracle fruit as dessert a couple of days now. The Goji berry is really a taste changer.
