What Do You Want to See More-of on MyLot?

It seems to me that 'the most-popular discussions on MyLot' (at least the ones that show up most on the screen when I click the "Hot Discussions"-link on the "Explore"-dropdown) are posts where people basically talk about whatever's going on in their lives, earning them lots of credits when people read the posts and 'get their free dopamine-boost' when they comment 'the standard niceties' ("I'm glad you're having a nice day," "God bless you and your family in your struggles," etc.) But is there a particular topic that you're more-likely to talk about? some category-of-discussion that holds the reservoir of your wisdom?

i usually find the same people's discussions in each category and i said this before - it's probably because these people are here for the long time and they've made friends here and of course people will respond to their discussion no matter what it's about. i usually check new user discussions or discussions w/no response and respond to those if i got something to say. i like reading discussions as long as they're not too long, it doesn't matter what they're about.

I've long since realized that the posts I really want to see aren't going to happen unless I'm the one that posts them. I've also come to the conclusion that we will always see those "How was your day?" posts and admittedly, I've been known to post a few of those myself.

@mythociate Fact: I don´t like the term " underdevelopped countries". What do you say about it?

Well, what posts do you usually respond-to? For me, it's usually posts that 'ask a question I have the answer-to' ... and often it's posts I feel 'get something wrong and need to be corrected'

@marguicha Oh, I don't correct typos (unless you accidentally type 'a different WORD'); I usually correct 'facts'

Depends. Quite frankly I'm happy hearing about anything. I do miss the old school category system though. Made it a lot easier to find discussions to contribute to and talk about. However, I've found that by going to most recent discussions I can find an array of topics and usually find plenty to contribute to.

I think that there are people here who are interesting in a wide range of topics and not everyone is interested in all topics. I choose the topics I write about due to the fact that living all alone I do not have much to say about what I do every day so I post about music and animals and things a discover online, I am interested in a wide range of topics so I always like to find out what everyone has been up to

Mental illness, food/cooking, and arts and crafts are some topics I find interesting and know a good bit about.

I know what I want to see less of, namely, posts on religious topics. If I were Mr MyLot, I'd forbid them completely.

I like entertaining conversations. And those usually do begin with some every day event, like dinner or work. This is like my "water cooler" at work. Or like a world wide "village well"

Right ... I guess 'what we do here' is kinda like "Christians' prayers to G-d"---Christians say whatever's on their mind (lots of things they're happy about, several things that trouble them), and they hear 'G-d's response' (through their colleague's replies) and find peace-of-mind.
