Just like aloe vera the noni fruit got its publicity and enthusiasts started marketing noni juice which is loaded with nutrients and cures.
As kids mother never let us touch those fruits as she believed they were poisonous but little did she know that as years went by someone will discover its goodness.
When the fruit ripens it smells bad and one cannot eat it unless it is fermented and juice is produced I have never attempted doing that. But the cuckoos love the fruit and we have a garden full of cuckoos enjoying them.

Those fruits have yet to grow but yes I just cannot use them. I am satisfied that cuckoos are having a great time and that is enough for me

@lady1993 We have many trees around and on some trees I can see fully ripe fruits. Cuckoo cry is soothing

@allknowing oh, just looked it up and it does grow more.
It's nice of you to let the cuckoos eat it.

I do not think anyone eats that fruit but fermented juice is what some consume.

If it smells bad I would not want to eat it.

It just cannot be eaten but it is marketed as fermented juice which I believe is palatable from reports I have heard.
