England just got smashed at cricket in India. The pitch was a real 'bunsen' (bunsen burner, turner) and England were bowled out cheaply twice by India's experienced spin attack on their home wickets, Ashwin getting his 400th test wicket in the test match. It was the first time in 100 years England had lost a test match in two days, quite a rare event in test cricket. When teams play tests in England the ball swings and seams around and it favors England but its been 20-years since a two day test in England when we smashed the West Indies at Headingly, Leeds. Two day tests are not good for cricket when the ball dominate the bat. Due to Covid , India were given home umpires and officials, the officials also determined India would win making some very bias decisions. The crowd were not wearing masks and that added to the intimidation of the overseas team. The problem was India needed to win a minimum two test matches this series to make the final of the World Test Championships at Lords in the English summer so they had to prepare result pitches, tests sure to finish without a draw and well inside 5 days, the normal test match maximum length. One more test to go and sure to be another spinning wicket. India cant lose this series now. I'm nit happy!
