Went through my books, the ones I set aside that were beyond repair and tossed them, they were water damaged from the years spent in my Uncles Storage shed, no one at the time was ready to deal with them, my Uncle battle health issues as do my cousins as I, but we finally were all able to get together in 2018 and get what we wanted, I got the books and family photos which thankfully hadn’t been stored in the shed, along with the book case that my Grandfather had built and the stereo cabinet my Mom bought in 1969! Thankfully there were only a handful of books that belonged to Nonna that were so far gone, I knew their was no repairing them, I then took some books and the kids baby doll to the church. I also managed to bag up a huge bag of stuffed animals that were in good shape and bagged them up for the thrift store, I kept one or two from both my younger niece and older and a few of the bears some had been gifts from my Nonna, but more went then stayed and I’ll say that felt good. I still have my childhood bear of course, because I’ve had her since I was eight, right around the time my Grandfather passed so she’s seen me through a lot! I know I still have more toys to go through that belonged to Little Miss, and I’d like to find a shadow box for her brownie vest, but I know there is more that can go, so I’ll be working on that! Now I’m finally sitting down to relax, so that’s good!
