Day 200
Promise 665
Titus 3:1 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,
2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, showing all meekness unto all men.
3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
4 But after that, the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
People are ready to start and end fights. They want to be their own person, in charge, not dictated to but live under their own rules.
Paul told Titus not to be like the people he saw every day, but to remember what Jesus did for him and show kindness to everyone because Jesus showed love to him. God didn’t show His love to him because of what he did but showed him mercy and love through the Holy Spirit when He washed his sins away.
As Christians, you know what your life was before you accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord. You know the foolish pleasures you served. You know nothing you could do would save you from the lifestyle you enjoyed. Yet, God in His love for you, sent Jesus to redeem, restore, forgive, and save you from your former life. Jesus washed you in His blood and made you an heir with Him so you could live with Him forever. Only God’s grace and mercy could break Satan’s hold on your life. You are forever His child because of His great love for you.
Let’s pray: Father, thank you for Your mercy and grace that saved me and made me Your child and heir with Your Son, Jesus. Help me live in the hope of my salvation. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
