Yesterday, the roommates and I went to a local thrift store as February is half-off day.
I have been searched online for a bargain on a mini Crock-Pot forever. Something just told me to wait. As you can probably tell by my screen name, I am frugal.
Well, I almost didn't go to the kitchen section. Who would think a mini Crock-Pot would be there?
There he was! A beauty if I ever saw one. Less than $2.00! No, you are not seeing things!
My roommates often like food that I dislike. Now I can feed myself what I like. Yes, we do have a huge Crock-Pot in our kitchen, but why prepare all of that food if just for myself? They like freezer food cooked in the air fryer, when I like many different soups.
Ok. That is my dissertation on Latest Thrift Store Find #1

That's a good buy! Now, here's the disadvantages with the Crock-ette as opposed to other crock pots...
1. No temperature control. Depending on what you're cooking in it, you may have to make sure the sides don't scorch.
2. No removable inner crock. Be careful when washing it! If you can find them, use the liners for small slow cookers. I think Reynolds makes some, and you can find others on Amazon. They make cleaning it much, much easier.
Other than that, what a great deal!

The disadvantages do not bother me. I just wanted something simple.

That looks like a good bargain. So can you use it to heat things up directly on the cooking gas?
Sometimes we get quite costly things or even average ones at a very good price in certain places.

I've been thinking of a smaller crock pot to mostly because the kids are gone and it takes to to much space on the counters. I don't know that I'll ever get one though.

@Spontaneo I rarely shop in thrift stores or yard sales and I get discounts where I work but at present is not a need so we'll see.

If you have the cash, go for it. However, if you are frugal like me, shop thrift stores and/or look at upcoming yard sales this summer.

That would be a bargain for anyone. It is good that you didn't pass that up.

Oh wow, that's awesome! The goodwill's near me almost always have something like that around. I haven't been thrifting in awhile, need to get back to that, even if it's just looking.

I think I've seen a ytube video of that 3 years ago or something.
