Tax on the house?

We've been paying taxes for the land our house is in for decades. Now they want to add a tax on the house too. We're not even earning anything from our house. Our savings were mostly used just to construct this house. Is there a law like this in your place too?

Real estate tax as far as I know includes house tax.

@lady1993 I rent so do not know about a tax on a house. That is terrible that you keep getting taxed.

Yes Government is so cheap and here the gas, petrol and most of the things prices have sky rocketed
