This is a Biography written by Margaret Lane in 1946. `The Tale of Beatrix Potter 'was published by Frederick Warne and Co Ltd London.
We all know Beatrix Potter as the lady who wrote and illustrated those lovely little books for children featuring animals as the main characters. Well, this book tells us how Beatrix grew from being a lonely child living in London in the 19th century, to becoming one of the best known children`s writers and illustrators of the 20th century.
These books are still popular today and her story has even been made into a film.
