I haven´t seen Carolina for a while. So today she is coming for lunch.
I said part of it would be leftovers. I still have half of the roast chicken I made for Dixie (I finally went to her house) and I could serve it with Duquese potatoes and salad.
I have ice cream and a lot fruits. But I guess we´ll end up having strawberries with cream for dessert. I´ll put some cream in the fridge.
Do you invite some of your closest family or friends for leftovers?

Enjoy. My kids pop in and out as they can. They both work a lot of hours at their jobs

I am not inviting my people now. So invitations are either for my closest family or for Humberto and Dixie who have crossed the point of friends many years ago and now are adopted family.

@DianneN Other families are like that here. But my 2 daughters are working inside their houses.

Carolina will enjoy this luncheon with Grandma, as much as you will! She loves spending time with you

When my sister still lived in the area, I would. Unfortunately, she's become an anti-masker (which I don't understand... she's a scientist and should know better!) so I probably wouldn't invite her over these days.

I don´t understand antimaskers.
Specially after a year of covid.

No I don’t think I have ever invited friends or close family for leftovers. I hope you enjoy your time with your granddaughter

I miss my maternal relatives, all of them live in another district.
If possible. I would be visiting soon before I go back

We have no close family left and few friends in this state. One of the friends is not seeing anyone due to the virus. I'm glad you will see Carolina.
