Entitled Attitude

I get that Little Miss is a preteen, but lately, she just doesn’t seem to appreciate what she’s been given. When the iPad I gave her, got broken, her Mom asked me if I had another one, I told the only one I had was mine, and I needed that! I have no problem with her coming here to use my iPad or computer for homework, where I can watch what she’s doing but I don’t want her taking it home, so her Mom’s friend buys her a brand new Chromebook, and though I’m happy she has it, I hope she treats it better than she did the Ipad I gave her. I get the stress of the pandemic, but she was acting this way when I went to Disneyland too, and she didn’t get what she wanted, I spent a small amount on everyone so everyone would get something. I did pick up my brother a Star Wars figurine set, but he gave me the money for that! And I know that there are a lot of kids lately who get the entitled attitude, but I honestly didn’t think it would happen with her. Lately I’ve just given us on buying her anything other than food or drinks. I know some of this stems from her Mother always asking others to buy things for her, the IPad I did on my own because it was my old one, but honestly if I knew she was going to act this way, I would have given it to someone who would appreciate it more! Not all kids act entitled though, I’ve seen kids who are grateful for even the simplest of things!
