The last time he got out, he stepped on broken glass and i was so worried. Fortunately, this time we got lucky. It was my mom (again) who didn't notice he was outside of the house and forgot to close the gate. I ran as soon as my mom shouted that Monday got out, and i saw he was running towards the main road. Good thing there were some girls on his way and he got scared and went to my mom again who was also chasing him.

@lady1993 I am sorry about the broken glass. Too bad that did not stop him from wanting to see the outside by himself. I am glad that he went to your Mom that was also chasing him. Is there anything that can be done so he will not try to escape again. My dog one time when we finished our walk and were going up the stairs and I wanted to trust her and took the leash off instead of going up the steps she ran down and outside and by the time the shock wore off she was gone when I went looking for her. She accidentally followed someone with a dog not knowing it was back to where we lived and the one that the person visited brought her down to me. She was very confused and threw up a lot. She must have eaten a lot of garbage. I cleaned it all up and never took off her leash again.

Dogs are just curious creatures. They always want to explore. That was very fortunate that your dog followed someone who lived near you. I would not have know how to find my dog if that happened. i am not sure if they are as smart as cats who actually know how to go home.

@lady1993 Dogs are smart also. She did not know she was coming to our building. She followed the dog that was coming to visit our upstairs neighbor. She was very confused and I cannot blame her. She was so sweet and special.

That was very lucky indeed. Your neighborhood seems dangerous.
