Acceptance

Accepting one's situation and moving on guarantees peace. But the question is when to look for that cut off time and decide to move on and just let go. The earlier one accepts and decides to move on the better it is This approach needs a bit of analysis. Some keep hoping against hope thinking one day the situation will change and that waiting period is the worst that disturbs one's peace. I too have gone through that 'hoping against hope' phase but soon realised the shorter that period is the faster will there be peace. How easy is it for you to move on and let go? Image Credit:

The older I get, the easier it becomes to let go and move on.

Same here. Gone are the days when I made a martyr of myself.

It is not easy to decide on that cut off time but a thorough analysis does help

Very true. It is better we fill our little brain with positive thoughts.

When things are done and cannot be changed, I just let it go and move on.

There is that serenity prayer which AAs recite every day In a nutshell it is the wisdom to know what can be changed and what cannot be.

@allknowing I do agree with you. Prayers can help us walk through the difficult times in life.

I've found that acceptance becomes easier the older I get.

Depends on the situation. Often times I'll reach that acceptance phase, but still cling to hope for improvment. It doesn't matter, as long as you're not dwelling on something to the point it affects your overall health.

I just take my troubles by letting off steam and ask God for strength to let go and move forward.

When to give up and let go is the most important decision one needs to take and yes God does helps us take this decision
