While having low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) lets me eat sugary stuff which I like as I have a sweet tooth it has resulted in weight gain .A low blood sugar state induces palpitation and hunger which is not a comfortable situation. If you are a low blood sugar candidate how do you cope?

I try to eat often, so that I don't feel driven to the sweets. I try to make my meals balanced and not use it as an excuse not to be active. Not ignoring hunger is a big one. And, I test at least once a day. Sometimes more if I'm feeling off. I know I'll likely test high, usually if I've had a lot of starches over the past few days or if I'm stressed or anxious.

@allknowing Also do your research and make sure you understand how different foods contribute to your sugar levels. You can get the sugar boost you need from slow burning carbs for example, like fruit and veggies. In this way, you're staying healthy and keeping your sugars in check.

I think chocolates would help. Fruits too, they have a bit of sugar content, so at least you will not gain a lot of weight.

Luckily I am not. You should try to reverse it by systematic dieting plan and exercise. Some doctors are of the opinion that you can reverse type II diabetic condition by that. Follow Dr. Dixit plan.

I am not a low blood sugar person. I only eat sweet stuff if I am in the mood to eat it.
