I received this ARC from Carrie Ann Ryan last month and I have to say it lived up to all my expectations. From Shadow and Silence is the final book in Carrie Ann Ryan's Elements of Five series. It consists of four books total. She had left the last book, From Spirit and Binding, with a good cliff hanger that left us wanting more. In the final book, Lyric has to find her way out of the Shadow Realm, away from the Grey to save her world. For that is what the Mason Realm is to her now, it's home. The battle is not over yet, she won't let it be. Everyone knows though, that when the fat lady sings, Lyric won't be there for the end. It's known but something that is not talked about. It's in every action they take. Once you open to the first page, the action begins with hardly a moment to rest. This will rip your heart but she will put it back together again. Fair warning, you'll want tissues. I know she had me in tears a few times. I know that this isn't a whole lot to go. The problem with trying to explain this book is that you have to read the other three first. With the back story you'll understand why I can't really explain a lot. I do believe that this whole series is worth the read. It's one of her best series yet and if you get them all at once, you won't be able to stop reading them. *picture from google
