I'm a firm believer to live life by Faith, but for your faith to work, you must Love. It's not a suggestion to love, but a commandment to love.
First Love God
Your neighbor. (Everyone else including your enemies)
I personally know how hard it can be to love some people in life.
LOVE THEM ANYWAY.
We can't afford to hinder our love walk.
(You will never rise any higher than your Love Walk)

But be careful to clarify your definition. "Love" is not 'how you feel about someone' or even 'the words you say to- or about-someone or -God.' "Love" is SHOWN IN ACTION.

"God is Love" just like 'money-in-your-boss's-bank-account is your-personal-wealth.'
Real Love is the fruitful action of God's Children---inspired by God? maybe; but not real until they act upon it.

Fruitful I'm assuming you're referring to
(Fruit of God's Children)
Love
Joy
Peace
Goodness
Gentleness
Kindness
Faithfulness
Patience
Self-Control
All these are a choice to act on, but I'm a firm believer in a relationship with God. Why, because you resemble those you assemble yourself with. Having that relationship will make you willing to be obedient to act in love. To Love anyone and everyone, not because of how you feel about the person. Because of God's love.
God can't violate our will, and will not force us to act in love. Even though we must love (command to love). So It's a choice to act upon. People's actions simply prove if what's in their hearts. (Proves the Love walk)
Love is always real because God is real.
Can't give something you don't have. (God is Love)
