kids, my nephews haha. I haven't seen them in so long because of the pandemic~ They're grown quite a bit. i am at my grandma's house because i had to borrow their laptop. And since it was my uncle's birthday today, the kids came too. are you close with your nephews/neices?

Looks like there is a reunion happening there at your grandma's place. I think that big gatherings are still not allowed but I guess most tolerate it. I just hope that you observed the right protocols to follow since you will be visiting your grandma and she needs to be protected.

@lady1993 Good that you observed the right protocols. I also wanted to visit my father back in the province but I couldn't do so because of the situation we are currently in. The rising number of cases are all kind of worrying and I do not want to be tha cause of passing the virus because of me.

I am close with my siblings, nephews and nieces and they always look forward to our simple gathering on Christmastime or New Year. Even my cousins come over to the house of my sister to bond with us. My older sister sent me a message yesterday that she twice dreamed that we arrived home unannounced, only to find out that she was just dreaming. She said she misses us. Unfortunately, we're still in NZ and torn between staying for some time for our grandson and coming home because no one stays in our house. Today, we're exactly one year here in NZ.

@lady1993 I doubt if we can still be back here. With the covid being around for a long time, coming back would be more difficult if not impossible. I'm even giving up hope on the approval of our expression of interest for residency submitted in 2016 which they suspended indefinitely since February of last year. Besides, there are more than 10 thousand of us in the queue and they will only be allowing 1000 approvals annually when they reopen the selection process. So I will just relish our days here with our grandson as we may never be back.
